A poor layout eats boards
The optimizer arranges pieces so the leftover is one usable panel rather than four strips — and it reaches for the offcut rack before it opens a new board.
PanelPlan lays your pieces out on boards, keeps track of how many boards you have, guides drilling and assembly, and produces the client's quote. All from a browser, in the workshop and on site.
No card needed. Making and looking at plans is free and unlimited — you pay to download the file you cut from, and the first 3 of those are free.

Enter the cut list once; the layout, the cutting sequence, the metres of edge banding and the cost estimate come straight out. Import from Excel, CSV, XML or JSON if you already have the list.
Materials, projects, stock, drilling, assembly and quotes live together, attached to the job they belong to — not in spreadsheets on four different computers.
Each part is built around one real step in the workshop.
Guillotine cuts — the way a panel saw actually cuts. It respects grain direction and blade thickness, and gives you a numbered cutting sequence.
The count drops by itself when a plan goes to the saw. Deliveries are recorded at the price you actually paid, so you can see how your supplier's price has moved.
Click the drawing of a piece and the hole is there. Templates for system 32, hinges and confirmats, with every figure editable against your own hardware.
Steps per product, ticked off as you go and remembered — a job stopped on Friday carries on where it left off.
A business document with your company details, line items and a validity date. No kerf and no cut order — that is for the workshop, not the client.
PDF drawings for the workshop, CSV for spreadsheets, DXF for a CNC nesting machine. Each for what it is good at.
In a browser — at the desk, on a tablet by the saw, on a phone at the client's. Nothing to install and nothing tied to one computer.
Invite colleagues into the same workshop. Whoever opens a job sees the same plan and the same stock — there is no file version that is “the real one”.
No upgrades to buy and install. What we add today is with you tomorrow.
Making and looking at plans is always free. You pay when you download the full file the saw works from — that is also the moment the plan is confirmed and the boards leave stock.
